Mr. Anthony D. Fusco Jr. is a U.S. History Teacher at A.A.E.C. - Estrella Mountain. Mr. Fusco received his B.A. in History & Political
Science from the University of Delaware (04') and received his M.Ed.in History & Government Secondary Education, with an emphasis on Curriculum & Instruction, from Northern Arizona University (09'). Further, Mr. Fusco is currently a PhD student, majoring in Psychology, with an emphasis in Instruction & Cognition, at Grand Canyon University.
Academically, while a student at the University of Delaware Mr. Fusco was a recipient of the E. Lyman Stewart Internship Award, where he helped process the Congressional Papers of the late U.S. Sen. William V. Roth (DE-R), and also received a U of D Stipend to research Pres. Ronald Reagan's active role against Communism in the 1940's, an Independent Study sponsored by Dr. Raymond Wolters. At Northern Arizona University, Mr. Fusco took part in a variety of different independent studies, including one on Nazi War Criminals, sponsored by Dr.
David Kitterman.
Professionally, Mr. Fusco, a two time VFW District III Teacher of the Year, has worked with student's who were successful in a variety of different competitions, scholarships, and programs based on merit, including, the United States Senate Youth Scholarship, National History Day Competition, VFW Voice of Democracy, Sister Cities of Phoenix Youth Ambassadors Exchange Program, ThriveTime Tournament Challenge, among others.
Additionally, Mr. Fusco is a native to Philadelphia, PA and moved to Arizona in 2006. His hobbies include history, politics, hiking, swimming, running, and reading.
